- Born and bred ship-shape and Bristol fashion, I had my head filled through the years by Oliver Postgate, Roald Dahl, Tony Hart, Laurie Lee, Robbie Z and Thor Heyerdahl with a diet of Powell-Peralta flicks, Amiga 500 tricks, Slash, Smash Mash and Gurt Lush. I started to skate and scribble at an early age to keep suburban boredom at bay and the world in perspective. I spent a few years in Exeter studying 3D Design then a few more in Brighton doing all sorts of jobs from carpentry to youth work via journalism, running a designer-maker shop and teaching lawn bowls. Last year me and my fiancĂ©e sold everything we owned and left our jobs in England to go on an adventure Swiss Family Robinson-style and see what life is like on the other side of the world. So I’m currently living on a Mexican beach falling off waves, coning Crayolas and Kryptonics, scratching a living as an illustrator, artist, designer, teacher, writer or whatever else is on offer. I’m still happiest with inky fingers, salty face and a wholesome head. My work is a vomitorium for my brain, escapism from the daily grind, influenced by everything I’ve ever seen, read or heard.
